There are few more simple pleasures than that of singing Whether you are out in front of a crowd pouring your heart out in a song or you are in the car belting out one of your favorites from the radio, singing can make you feel good. Here are some tips for singing that will help you hit those high notes and keep your voice healthy too!

Sing with confidence. The difference between sounding average and sounding great can be as simple as whether you are singing out confidently or not. Confident singing means you are projecting your voice out and holding your notes with lots of breath support. Almost all popular contemporary singers took classes on singing before they became famous or even when they were already professional. Famous singers like Alicia Keys, Beyonce, and Kelly Clarkson reportedly took lessons when they were younger. While natural talent is a big factor for one to become a good singer, there are still a lot of things one needs to improve on to become resilient in the music industry. Always apply a good singing technique as it warms you up in a long way. Vocal Registers

This is a quick trick that makes you sound better instantly, so I call it the “Instant Fix.” Say A-E-I-U (watch your jaw movement in the mirror). Did your jaw close on any of the vowels? Chances are your jaw closed on the “E” and the “U” – and most likely on others too, if not all of them. Take your first two fingers and pull your jaw down two inches – or even better, use a plastic bottle cap or a wine cork to prop your jaw open. Now speak the vowels again. And repeat again (we're trying to re-program muscle memory – so the more the better).
